I must admit… the blog has been taking a bit of a backseat. I’ve been keeping up with Facebook and Instagram… but haven’t been over here as often as I should.
Well… 2013 is upon us. We survived the end of the Mayan calendar.
Christmas was great… and New Years was quiet. Family is all happy and healthy. Couldn’t ask for more than that.
2013 is already planned out to be a big year for us (Ego Comics), here’s a short list of what we have planned.
On Jan. 12-13th Ego Comics was at Albuquerque Comic Con peddling a new Sketchbook and our new Ashcan, as well as our 2012 Stomping Ground – Field Guide, our Stomping Ground Coloring Book, and a selection of Prints, not to mention a few SHIRTS!

After Albuquerque Comic Con, we’ll be opening up submissions for an Ego Comics Presents anthology to be published (and probably KickStarter’ed) later in the year. While that’s going on, Neil & I will be working on a collection of Preview Stories to launch Stomping Ground! We are planning on having a table for Albuquerque Comic Expo, where we’re planning to release a new book collecting all the previews. I’m hoping to get a chance to get another shirt done and picked up between now and then too.
There are a few other conventions later in the year, namely, Bubonicon, ABQ Zine Fest (possibly), we’ll be looking at opportunities to be in those shows, as well as ‘possibly’ looking at going out to a con in Phoenix sometime in the next couple of months as well.
In other news… I recently accepted a position on the board of directors for 7000BC. This will give me a little more responsibility within the group, and a little more ‘say so’ in the direction that the group takes. I’m excited to be even more involved in the group, and to see what kinda cool stuff we can do this year! (I’m hoping for more workshops!!
I’m going to try to keep up my presence on my blog as well as FB and Instagram. Though, I might not post as often as I should, rest assured, It’s because we’ve got some plans for this year… and some stuff that needs to get done… but I will post any big news here as well.
